TPIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) is a unique number issued by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to identify taxpayers. In Zambia, a TPIN is required for tax and financial services. If you use Airtel Money, you must link your TPIN to receive money from abroad. If you don’t have one yet, you need to register first.
How to register TPIN?
Here’s how you can register for a TPIN:
1. Online via ZRA website
- Visit https://zra.org.zm and click Register for a TPIN, then Click here.
- Fill in Taxpayer Type and complete your personal information.
- Fill in the Reason for Registration.
- Upload the required documents and submit the application.
2. At ZRA office
- Visit the nearest Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) office with the required documents and register in person.
What documents are required for registration?
- NRC (National Registration Card) for Zambian citizens or residents.
- Passport for non-residents.
Additional information:
- After you receive your TPIN, you can visit the Airtel service center to link the TPIN.
- Once your TPIN is linked, you need to wait 72 hours for your Airtel account to be able to send and receive money from abroad.
