You can now send money to China in CNY currency via SWIFT for both Chinese and foreign citizens. Here are several things you need to note:
Make sure that the recipient’s bank and bank branch can receive money via SWIFT from bank account type based on your transaction, or else the transaction may fail:
If you’re sending money to personal/individual bank account, make sure they can receive money from personal/individual accounts (C2C).
If you’re sending money to company/institution bank account, make sure they can receive money from company/institution accounts (B2B).
Recipient’s bank may review your transaction and contact your recipient to request recipient's action, for example:
Signing a confirmation letter of receiving money abroad
If the transaction fails, any refund process will not be in full amount and without transfer fee, correspondent bank fee, and applied voucher.
