What is IFSC?

Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) is a unique identification code used to identify bank branches in India accurately.


This code is a combination of 11 alpha-numeric characters. 4 first characters are used as bank code, 5th character is 0 and the last 6 characters are branch codes in India. (Example: SBIN0005943).
