How to fill in the recipient’s address for sending money to Japan?

Due to regulation in Japan, you must enter the recipient’s complete address. Incomplete address details may cause the transaction to be rejected.

⚠️ Please enter the address using the Latin alphabet (Romaji.) Japanese characters such as Kanji, Hiragana, or Katakana are not supported.
Here is an example of a complete address and how to fill in each field:

  1. Province/Prefecture

Select the prefecture name (e.g., Tokyo Prefecture or Osaka-fu).
2. City/Town

Select the city (shi), ward (ku), town (machi), or village (mura).
3. Street address

Enter the full chōme-ban-gō number and the area name.
4. Building/unit details

Enter the building name, floor, and room number (if applicable).
5. Postal Code

Enter a 7-digit postal code in the format NNNNNNN (numbers only).

If you are unsure about any part of the address, please contact the recipient to confirm the complete address before submitting the transaction.
