# How to activate Alipay account balance

To activate the Alipay account balance, the recipient must first verify their Alipay account. If they haven't verified it yet, [see how to verify Alipay account](https://help.topremit.com/en/article/how-to-verify-alipay-account-12bno4p/).

Once verified, follow these steps:
1. The recipient must grant permission to Alipay Quick Collect by clicking **同意** (Agree).

2. Click **去设置** (Go to Settings).

3. Sign the service agreement by clicking **提交** (Submit).

4. Click **去开通** (Go to Activate), then select Alipay account balance as the payment method.

5. After selecting Alipay account balance, a pop-up will appear. Select **去填写** (Go Fill In).

To activate Alipay account balance, recipient needs to fill in additional information, such as:
* Photocopy of their ID card
* Address details
* Job industry
* Relationship with the sender
